THIS LIFE YOU CALL MONEY

By Gary Sosnick 1993

There's a time and a place for all.
Go on and do the crawl.
You've got what it takes.
Killing for your next windfall.

You call this living!
Every last breath that it takes away.
I'm sure you would do anything
For this life that you call money!

It goes on and on and on . . .

Driving in your fifty grand car
Cause baby you're a new found star.
You could do some good
But that's not what you are.

It goes on and on and on (What can you do for me?)
It goes on and on and on (When the bottom line is greed.)
It goes on and on and on (In quest of immortality?)
It goes on and on and on (Your taste for wealth provides the need.)

The sky's the limit in your new career
And now I'm just a souvenir.
A picture of your humble past.
Go on and get your memory in gear.

You call this living!
Every last breath that it takes away.
I'm sure you would do anything
All for this life you call money!

I mean, really? How many times can a guy get admonished for having no ambition? You work every day of your life since you were a teenager, and it's still not good enough. Oh well, there's always the upcoming CD, which can't get here soon enough.

Notes about Video: Filmed at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan.
